- Secured $750,000 for Anchorage People Mover (2009)
- Fairbanks North Star Borough Road and Bridge Improvements — $1 million (2009)
- Matanuska-Susitna Borough Road and Bridge Improvements — $1 million (2009)
- $2.4 million for Homer-based Kachemak Research Development which develops and fields security systems that scan the under carriage of vehicles as they enter secure areas/facilities; and $2.0 million for Anchorage-based Venture Ad Astra for its development of a system/network to enhance precision location, guidance and navigational capabilities of U.S. weapons (2009)
- Homer Harbor Modification – $340,000 (2009) The harbor modification earmark is through the General Investigations (GI) account. A GI study is needed before a harbor expansion or modification project can begin.
- Homer Harbor – $400,000 (2009) in the Operations and Maintenance Account. O&M $ is used for dredging to maintain the harbor and channel.
- City of Ketchikan replacement and rehabilitation of municipal bridges and trestles — $500,000 (2009)
- Juneau International Airport Medium Intensity Approach Lighting System with Runway Alignment Lights — $1 million (2009)
- Yakutat Harbor – $450,000 (2009)
- Petersburg North Harbor – $500,000 (2009)
- Commercial Vessel Discharge permit moratorium – which excludes most Alaskan fishing vessels from onerous regulations that rightly apply to larger vessels. First passed in 2008 and an extension of the moratorium has passed the Senate in 2010.
- Valdez Harbor Expansion – $385,000 (2009)

- Secured access for the people of King Cove to be able to reach life saving health care and resources through a land exchange that benefited the people of King Cove and the USFWS. Izembek Land Exchange – Passed 2009.
- Nome Harbor – $820,000 (2009)
- Kotzebue Small Boat Harbor – $210,000 (2009)
- Fought for icebreaker refurbishment Fully funded refurbishment of the POLAR STAR
- Denali Commission Transportation Programs — $2.3 million (2009)
- Introduced S. 930, the United States Ferry Systems Investment Act to authorize $200 million in each of 2010-2015 from the Highway Trust Fund to establish a Ferry Joint Program Office within DOT to promote and coordinate federal programs affecting ferries and to make ferries eligible for the clean fuels grant program and conduct research, development and training programs on ferry operation.
- Introduced S. 1795, the Private Investment in Commuter Vanpooling Act to allow public vanpool providers to use fare revenues to purchase additional vehicles to accommodate growing demand.
- Introduced the National Volcano Early Warning and Monitoring Systems Act to establish a National Volcano Early Warning and Monitoring System to warn and protect citizens from undue and avoidable harm from volcanic activity.
- Introduced the Arctic Deep Water Port Act to direct the Secretary of Defense to determine the feasibility of building a deep water port in the Arctic.
- Secured an exemption from U.S. Department of Transportation rules to allow medical oxygen to be shipped to locations in the bush without being packed in enormous, blowtorch-proof boxes, which are impractical for transportation in rural Alaska.
