Alaska Fire Fighters Endorse Senator Murkowski for Re-election

Alaska Professional Fire Fighters Association (AKPFFA) President Dominic Lozano recognize Murkowski’s efforts to support firefighters and first responders

ANCHORAGE, AK – Today, the Alaska Professional Fire Fighters Association (AKPFFA), announced their full support and endorsement of Senator Lisa Murkowski’s (R-Alaska) 2022 re-election campaign. AKPFFA represents over 1000 men and women across the state who devote their careers to fighting fires and keeping Alaskans out of harm’s way.

“Senator Murkowski has a proven track record of supporting firefighters and has continued to hold public safety as one of her top priorities in the US Senate,” said AKPFFA President Dominic Lozano. “Her tireless work for Alaska has secured vital dollars for the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response Grants (SAFER) and the permanent reauthorization of the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund, all while putting the full weight of her support behind numerous initiatives supporting our firefighters and first responders here in Alaska. Firefighters don’t let politics stop us from doing our job, and Senator Murkowski doesn’t let politics get in the way of supporting the brave men and women who help keep Alaskans out of harm’s way day in and day out.”

“As Alaska’s senior senator, Lisa Murkowski has long been a strong champion for Alaska’s fire fighters,” said campaign manager Nate Adams. “As Chair of the Congressional Fire Services Caucus and senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Lisa has used her clout in Washington D.C. to ensure our firefighters have the resources for everything they need from protective equipment to mental health treatment. Our team thanks the Alaska Professional Fire Fighters Association for this endorsement and for the selfless work they do across the state to keep Alaskans safe.”

Senator Murkowski and her re-election campaign look forward to announcing additional endorsements as the race progresses.
